Self Drive Tours

Due to Namibia’s safe and secure surroundings, excellent road infrastructure, frequent and clear road signs, accurate maps, low traffic density and comfortable climate conditions, Namibia serves as a great self-drive destination. Camps and lodges are easy to find - fuel and, where necessary, food, is obtainable in all towns. Most major regions have cell phone coverage. Namibia encompasses a tremendous variety of culture, wildlife, geology and history. The awesome and  constantly contrasting landscapes are best viewed from the ground, and a self drive itinerary offers you the flexibility of enjoying these at your own pace. The vibrant colours, sounds and smells as well as the captivating and thrilling sights combined with Namibia’s warm hospitality will leave you wanting to return time and again.

Please note that Namibia and its neighbouring countries drive on the left-hand side of the road. Approximate travel distances have been indicated on the suggested itineraries, these are from point A to point B and do not include visiting attractions off the main route. Any itinerary contained within the Sense of Africa brochure can be tailored as a self drive program - shortened or lengthened to suit your individual interests and requirements.
Camping Tours

Fully equipped 4x4 single (2 passengers) or double (2–4 passengers) cab vehicle on request. Vehicle includes roof-tent/s, fridge, sleeping bags, pillows, kitchen equipment, gas cylinder, table, chairs, shower as well as portable toilets. Most camping areas have shared communal ablution facilities.

Bronze Class Tours

Simple but solid essentials tour, accommodation is offered at 3-star properties on a bed & breakfast basis.

Silver Class Tours

Superior comfortable accommodation, facilities and services with excellent value for money on a half board basis.

Gold Class Tours

High quality accommodation, facilities and services. Tours are based on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis.

Platinum Class Tours

Premium quality accommodation, facilities and services. As good as it gets in Namibia. Superior attention to detail to ensure every wish is met. Tours are fully inclusive of all meals and a selected range of activities.
