Despite heavy rivalry from 315 other competitors at the Good Safari Awards on the 06th May, the Namibian Tourism Board (NTB) won the award for being the best Tourism Board. The same evening NTB also won the award for the best website from TravelMole African Web Awards.

In conjunction with their 10th Anniversary, the NTB has spiced up their brand to "Namibia - Endless Horizons".

We launched our new and absolutely stunning 2012 brochure at Indaba, and will soon have these exhilarating products on our website. One of the most exciting changes we have made is to offer our scheduled tours on low and high season rates; a selected few dates in low season have been specially contracted and are on offer at a fantastic rate.

Our current FDM should read version 11.6, our 2012 FDM will be ready by June 2011.

For those that have already received our new brochure, please take note of the following amendments;
  • Pg 37 Cape Town Package, Holiday Inn Waterfront Hotel has now been renamed Southern Sun Waterfront Hotel
  • Pg 101 Linger Longer Participants – Huab Lodge is no longer part of our Linger Longer programme for 2012
Sense of Africa Responsibility

 For over 2 years Sense of Africa is supporting a Kindergarden in Katutura. The Kindergarden is run by one lady, who at the moment is caring for over 60 children that range from orphans, children infected with AIDS to children whose parents are unable to support them. Every month we supply them with their monthly electricity supply, ensuring that they have power to cook, wash with hot water and can heat their rooms in winter. We also have a permanent box in our office where employees put in extra food, clothing, toys, blankets etc that they either purchase, or that they can spare from home.
Through our input and sponsoring the Kindergarden has improved greatly on their comfort of life, and it has become quite a personal project with the company to aid the Kindergarden. Just last week we again supplied them with a large load of groceries – our winter is looming and the kids need more nutrition to keep warm. We have also sponsored building material to the Kindergarden such as cement, as their kitchen floor needed a new coating. Last week we have supplied them with a 48kg gas bottle, which ensures that the Kindergarden uses gas to cook their food and can thereby save electricity for the geyser, light and heater.

We would like to create further awareness also with our tourists, and try and drive support in the form of monetary funds, food, clothing, sanitary goods or educational material towards this Kindergarden. There is always something missing, and it is our dream to know that the Kindergarden receives a permanent flow of support.  Please do contact us should you be interested in this product, and if you would be able to further support this Kindergarden.
