BWABWATA NATIONAL PARK:
Bwabwata National Park
The Bwabwata National Park, formerly known
as the Caprivi National Park, is expected to
expand to contain the current Mudumu and
Mamili National Parks as well as the Kwando
triangle. At present visitors can see the park on
the 190 km section of drive through the park
along the B8 highway between Kongola and
Bagani. For scheduling purposes, most of the
species in the park can be seen at the National
Parks Mudumu, Mamili and Mahango, at the
western end of the park and in the lower end
of the Caprivi Strip, such as elephants, Cape
buffaloes and sable antelopes.
